What are you talking about. That guy was trying to keep the top from being crushed . He kicked out the windshield so he could keep it off the roof. You know how lightly built those blowties are built.

Both those guys are idiots!!!!!! For 2 cars to be as out of control as those were and no one just completely backs off, they continue hammer down. And then to top it off both those cars are tubbed with roll bars in them which means they are pretty healthy cars and the idiot in the 55 or 56 doesn't have a 5 point harness! REALLY??????? That man was being watched over by the big man above!

From what I have seen this guy is part of the "Colorado Street Outlaws"! In my own opinion any of those "street racers" get what they deserve.

I saw somewhere maybe facebook that there is a page or website called "Fix the 55" or whatever year it is and they guy is begging for money to fix his trashed car!! Screw you buddy if your dumb enough to pile up your car you are on your own!!

Don't know for certain, but just guessing. Looks to me like he did not do a good burnout, and warm his tires up enough. With those big meats he has on the rear, he shouldn't be loosing control at speed.

Yup, saw this on bangshift some time ago....and the comments on there are entertaining:)....but as to contributing to a "fund" to help with rebuilding the car?? Not a &*^%$#@ chance!! That guy has enough $$ to build the '55 for his wife, and still runs a 6 second Willys??
He should consider his good fortune in surviving a horrifying (but preventable, with common sense and use of proper safety gear) accident, and if he has to rebuild the car, then consider the cost of rebuilding a "Stupid Tax" for not having the sense to "lift" when he got out of shape, and for not using the proper harness/hold downs when he built it.....
