finally made it home from slickstock

Post by rwhistles »

my daughter and I pulled in to the house wed afternoon. left home aug 10th for slickstock making 200 mile days we got there sun the 17 just in time for the pre slickstock cookout at darrels house. spent the week at thomas mitchell park just outside altoona. after slickstock we drove up to rapid city sd and camped at bear butte about 3 miles outside sturgis for a week. then made our way back down to fort leonard wood mo. camped in the mark twain national forest for a few days and took in the army engineers museum at leonard wood. went down to bransen mo for my units annual reunion then on to st louis mo to see my oldest daughter. got to see my great grandson for the first time while there. then headed home from there.met a lot of great people at slickstock and finally met some of the people I been talking to on here. had a great time. been home just a few days now and hate it would rather be back out there somewhere. I think I see a four season camper in my future.

What Iceman said! Looks like you covered more totally unscathed miles than the majority were able to enjoy!
