New guy from Alberta

Post by Alberta62 »

After lurking on the site for awhile and reading a lot of great info, I've decieded to jump into a project. I wanted something to keep my 68 Bronco company.
Image
I found a 62 unibody shortbox a few blocks from my home.
Image
The photos in the ad seemed not too bad.
Image
Unfortunately the PO discarded the front fenders as he thought they were not worth saving.
Image
The floors need some help.

The body isn't too bad, and the box was full of spare sheet metal off a 250.

Future plans include an IFS, small block, and overdrive trans. I will try and keep adding to this as I move ahead.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm looking forward to the build. The Bronco is a true survivor, 68000 original miles and all stock except for the wheels. Even the paint is approx 85% original.
ImageOn the unibody, I need to find some front sheet metal and decide on a direction for the IFS.

Welcome from a fellow Calgarian! I'm pretty sure I've seen your Bronco out and about... I just can't remember exactly where.

Cheers,

Another welcome from Calgary! Looks like a good start, congrats on the find! :)

If you have a future wheel swap in mind I'd take that passenger side front wheel off your hands. ;) I'm one short of a complete set of "innies".
