Post by Hooligan Speed »

Thought i would just post some here for fun, mind you some were screen shots with my phone so they did not translate perfectly.

Ok so this may seem like a silly question, but I am relatively new to Old Ford trucks and need to get some things straight. The reference image used to draw the multi colored trucks above said it was a 64 which i thought was a Uni ( Nevermind I figured this out i think anyway. It is built more like a Ranchero Body as the cab and bed are one...Makes perfect sense now) Visually how do you tell the difference. Also i get very confused with sub models Style side, Custom Cab etc. Time for some lessons from you guys.

And by the way if you sign up for our mailing list we will send out polls once a month to help decide the direction this build goes. things like wheels, wood or metal bed, paint color, paint theme, and suspension. Going to start a build thread later today.
this is the first poll going out end of February:

style side has smooth sides on the bed...
flair side has prominent fenders on the bed...
'Unibodies' were made in 61,62,and 63, rear wheel wells swoop like the front fenders, have a lower roof line, and have no break between cab and bed.
Wrong beds have a smooth separate bed starting in 1961, with boxy looking rear fender opening like the late 57-1960 (fridge) trucks usually 4x4 models.

Thank you sir! Clarification is a great thing.
