CV steering stop.
Ok I'm a little stumped right now. So have the CV ifs completely installed moving on to steering. So counted the splines on the steering shaft to make sure before I buy some u joints. Got the truck completely off the ground with stands on all four corners went to take a look at the ball joints and make a mental list of what I need to get it back to road worthy.. I went to manual turn the wheels by grabbing on the tire and push/pull to each side. When I did this I noticed I have no kind of steering lock. The wheels will turn until they hit sway bar. Something with this can't be right other wise the soft brake line would have to be like 20 inches long and do a few loopty loops. I know the pre 2003 Cvs had steering stops in the lower control arms and spindles. Am I missing something here?

Well damn..feel pretty stupid about this one haha. I'm sure those that have done this swap are probably laughing at me.
I mounted the sway bar to the frame about an inch to far forward. Thank god it was something I can easily fix. After stairing at it for about two hours, taking wheels off ,checking bolts and studs all over the front end it dawned on me HEY MORON THE SWAY BAR IS BENT AND SHAPED A SPECIFIC WAY FOR A REASON!! About that time I shined the flashlight on the ball joints and rod at the end of the sway bar and sure enough they were not vertical. They had a slight angle and I knew it immediately that I screwed up. I threw the flashlight on the work bench and stormed in like a PO'd toddler. A few hours later and time to claim down I went out and disconnected the sway bar, pushed it back to the correct location held it in place and pushed the wheel in and of course it stops half an inch before contacting the sway bar turned the other way and half inch before it hits brake line.. SUCCESS!
Feel pretty defeated haha well I thought I was done with the front end but guess not.
So for anyone putting these under their Slick. When mounting the sway bar ensure the end links line up and the rod link is vertical as possible if you aren't sure hold up the sway bar and with the front tires off the ground push/pull the wheels till lock and make sure they don't contact anything.

Funny I took a quick look at my setup this morning after reading your post. I haven't yet mounted my sway bar. I'll be sure to line up the endlinks now.
