Thanks for this heart felt post DOC. Being somewhat older myself, this makes me want to share an experiance I had this week.
I just purchased my SLICK about a month ago and found this great site. So this new truck made four Ford trucks that I now had, and my wife said something had to go. So I desided that the 74 F250 would be the one (Nice running truck, fun to drive but it has a lot of rust). I put a for sale sign on it ($500) and put it on the side of the road. With in a half an hour I got a call, the only two question asked were does it have a title, and does it run. When I said yes to each, the response I got was "Cool Beans". This made me wonder who I was dealing with. Well we set up a time to meet and look at the truck, I started it up and within 5 min. with out a test drive he said he would take it. We started talking about project vehicles and with in a few minutes I was so impressed with this YOUNG kid that I invited him back to my place to see my slick and the mustang we have that my kids drag race. I went through my shop and found every peice that would work on this truck and put it in the back of the truck before he left. So I guess if you believe in morales of the story, this one would be "that this hobby crosses all generations and we sould look for what we can learn from everyone, older or younger"
I know I'm new here , but I want to thank everyone for making this souch a great place.
