work history

Post by grump »

I was thinking about my history of jobs the other day.
My first job was in a frozen orange juice factory, but I got canned. Turns out, I couldn't concentrate.
Then I tried working as a lumberjack, but they gave me the ax. I guess they thought I couldn't hack it.
After that, I was hired as a tailor, but the work was only sew-sew. I guess I wasn't suited.
Now I work in a coffee shop, which has a lot of great perks. If only it wasn't the same old grind.

Good thing you didn't get a job at a lens grinding factory
You'd have probably made a spectacle of yourself

I worked for years at the Crockett Ca. sugar refinery, on cranes that lifted the raw sugar out of the holds of ships with a coal/ grain elevator attached to a gantry crane, it was a sweet, uplifting experience, that I can't rail about!

I did apply for a job at a fire arms factory but they said I wasn't the caliber of employee they were looking for.
