Steering Box Part Needed

Post by Sportinlife »

When I brought my 62 flareside home I noticed that the steering wheel took almost 1 complete revolution to move the front wheels at all. I found that the 3-bolt cover on the box was broken and allowing the shaft to wallow around. I need a cover! The one with 3 bolts and an adjustmentt screw.
Thanks, Andy.

Steve - Yes, that box has the same cover as mine. I just need the cover, not the whole thing. My address is :

Andy McBride
521 Bulldog street
Lacey, Wa 98503

I can send you the money in advance, then you can send my change with the part.
Thanks a bunch!

Done! I figured that you just wanted the cover and not the entire box. I will check with my post office in the morning and let you know what it will cost. I'm thinking that "Priority Mail" wouldn't be that much. I took it off of my '64 over a year ago and it was covered with grease...I will clean it up for you.

Steve - Got the part. It has the flange/support that was missing on the old one! Thanks again & if I get to go to Slickstock hope I'll see you there.
