leaky dual master cylinder

leaky dual master cylinder
I did a dual master conversion this past week and noticed that after I bench bled the new master, it continued to leak fluid out of the output ports. I didn't think it was supposed to leak out after the piston returned to resting position. Any advice?

Put some plugs in the ports to prevent fluid loss after bench bleeding.
