Didn’t have time yesterday to discuss what all was involved getting the fan where it is..............Bought it at the Lawerence Ks.swapmeet last May for $5.00....and it was broken into two pieces.Fan/motor and pedestal the ball and socket had worn out....my first fix was sticking metal in between the two

Image

That kept the two together but wouldn’t allow any movement.....six months later another fix came to me......JB Weld......

Image

This was so easy.....greased the balls surface, compress the joint and add the JB down inside between the two then release pressure until the ball sets where you see it the pic.

Image

1st.attempt at mounting to speaker grill.....the grill metal was way to thin to last......next move was installing a 3” disc of 24guage metal to the bottom side... that worked out well as it now sits solid to the dash and can be turned left/right and up/down.....

Mr. Jones, does your truck have a two speed rear or is that a transmission mounted overdrive?
