Most interesting encounter yesterday........

Post by Mr. Jones »

Looks like I hit a wrong button,(excuse the jumbo size lettering)

Yesterday morning I arrived to a customer's home, simple job of extending a 4" copper downspout out under her shrubbery.....no hurry on my part so I sat there and finished a cup of coffee..... then a voice,"What year is your truck?"That always gets my attention,so I got out to chat with this stranger, within a few minutes he started telling about a 65 F-250 Camper Special his mother had down at the farm(cannot say where)and she was having it brought up to KC next week so it could be serviced and ready'ed up too sale......He gave me her phone # ten minutes later mom and I were talking about how she was a little girl when her dad bought the 65,apparently his 62 wouldn't pull well in the mountains. And how they went to the Seattle world fair with a camper on it......Dad passed away in 73 the truck stayed on the farm in the barn never Sat outside, she would use it occasionally running to town or on the farm.....only has 42,382 miles, with a single re-spray...
Black with red interior, seat cover looks factory new same with firewall padding under dash, padded dash perfect no speaker cracks all knobs have the white inserts.......she sent me seven pictures of truck...said she'd call when it arrived here in KC.........so now the waiting begins......mean while I plan on giving her a full history of my passion of these machines, starting back with my first one in 1981 thru today......Wish me luck guys !!!!! Oh one more thing it's still has the original tires on it.352 with a HD Cruise-O-Matic

Sounds like you stumbled onto a nice truck. Good luck and hope it turns out to be as nice as it sounds.
