Slicktitus and ...

Post by FarmMotorSports »

Are there any members here who have the Studebaker affliction as well as the normal Slicktitus illness?

I have inherited the Stude infection from my uncle, who has blessed me with unfinished projects, a 53 champion coupe (-engine trans and windshield) and a 54 comander starlight hardtop (-windshield).

For that matter what are your second projects?

I love pretty much anything Studebaker, especially their trucks. I always wanted to get a late 50's 4x4 one, but that's probably impossible

My second project is a '82 Suzuki GS 650. Soon to be 3rd project is my grandfathers old Ford 8N.

Any pics of your stude's?

I bought a 1952 2 door Champion with a flat head 6. Had a blown head gasket, but the body was fantastic. Got it for $40.00 (oh yeah, this was back in 1970). Put a $ 3.75 head gasket on it, and drove it for 4 years. Gave it to my brother, he drove it for 3 years and gave it to my dad. He drove it for 3 years, drove it to the county dump one day, took the tags off and walked home. That's the last I knew of it.....but it was still running.
