Looks like Newton Speedway is a no go

Been talking to the guys at Kansas City Speedway since they are the ones running Newton now and it does not look good. Newton is closed down pretty much and up for sale by Nascar. I will stay in contact with them just in case any thing changes but I have my doubts.

I see local track's fold and resurrect form the ashes, it seems to be a cycle.
KC had a drag way, it was pushed out by the surrounding housing that sprang up around it.
Now years later there was strong support for a new one, then covid kill the need....


Keep us informed, I expect things to go down hill before they spring back...
Big acreage, big corporations, big bills - No income for years. Something has to happen.
I think if the political agenda doesn't change we will loose a lot of entertainment venues...
