Finally my truck is looking like a truck again (thanks to Dave for helping this weekend on the truck). I does run and there's at least a 2 inch drop in the front.

I can even drive it around the yard and the power steering is great even with the little 13" steering Wheel.
I still have a little bit of Fab work that needs to be done. Like getting the sway bar installed.

I also need to hook up fan, finish bolting down the bed, install windshield, front bumper and a couple more things. All in all at least I finally see some light at the end of this long tunnel. Oh yea need alignment and exhaust also.
Hopefully by turkey day I will have everything done.

got any more pics of a how to on the dakota clip?
did you stay with the dakotas 5x4.5 lug pattern?
Northern - I have lots of pictures of the dakota setup on my web site. http://www.purpleflyingmonkey.com/truck/page1/mainframefile.html
The 86 to 90 bolt pattern is 5 X 4.5. after 91 (don't quote me on the extact year but it's near 91) they went to a six bolt pattern but good thing is the older hubs fit directly on the newer spindles.
Johnny C - I did get the motor mounts from IC and there good mounts, but I still had to modify then to make them fit correctly. I guess that's part of it. These mounts for the BB 460 were not cheap that's for sure.

Your truck's looking pretty nice! The Dakota swap looks right at home too.
