seat
I need to replace the seat in my 66 f-100 4x4. I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions on what to use. I would like to install buckets and a console. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

Speaking of Rangers, one of the members on the old site installed a pair of buckets form 89-94 Ranger, Explorer, Bronco IIs in a slick using an extra set of the the stock Slick seat tracks. He supposedly only had to enlarge the mounting holes and they pretty much bolted right in. I have had 3 Rangers, 2 Bronco IIs, and 2 Explorers, these seats are comfortable and hold up VERY well, just a thought. Another option is to recover your stock seat, the covers are available from several sources. Most later Ford truck seats will work with a little creativity including the 97-03 seats with the internal seat belts. Kinda all depends on what you want.

the guy selling those does not know what he is talking about, they will fit the early cabs if you get the right brackets. i have them in my 66 f250 4x4.

All right I think this has been kicked around before, But I am still not certain as to what fits what. Ok what seats used in other ford vehicles would be the same as the Ranger seats found in 65 & 66 trucks? The ebay listing says “Super Rare” is it that finding them factory installed is rare, or is there something unique about this particular seat that makes it rare?

A guy in the club repros them. Hoofbeatracer knows who.
the early broncos have a flip forward seat on the passenger side, the brackets are different on it. still got it to work in my slick, so my pass seat flips over .

Just an idea
I just did the seats in my 77 Mark V. For $200.00 I put heated inserts in there. A nice touch and now is the time to do it.

Yeah, and weren't they C7AZ? A is for the full size Ford CAR isn't it?
Johnny Canuck wrote:But my jeez those would look good in the new lady "Effie" 's truck
Those would look pretty slick, like the black and red you showed me in the other thread with the factory buckets...buuuuut the whole point of having a truck is the bench seat that you can throw your arm up on the back of.
