Make a long box a short box
Anybody out there ever make a styleside short box out of a long box??? Or is there any articles about such a project??

Indeed when I first joined this club, the main pictures on the opening page were of the originator of this club, Foodstick's truck.It was aexactly what you are talking about. Foodstick subsequently sold the truck to Kid's brother.
So, you could say one of the first projects ever in this club was what you are saying.
Whether or not any pics still exist of that project under construction, maybe Kid or Matt can answer.

Yeah I did but not quite a short box. I shortened a 129" wheel base '66 8ft bed to fit my 121" wheel base '62 8ft bed truck. I took about 6" out of the box infront of the wheels and shortened the frame at the rear giving me about a 7 1/2' box.
I bet going down to 6' would be twice the challange, I think you would need to shorten it behind and in front of the wheel wells. Maybe you could just get lucky and do a swap with someone.
