dumb question
Could the windshield wiper motor have a variable speeed by inserting a variable resister or pot in the power wire to the motor or is this taken care of with off set brushes or some other way? I was just thinking and you all know how dangerious that is to do? I guessing it might burn the motor up running slower. Thanks for any imput. Don

Don.
No, not really.
You need to find a 2-speed motor with the delay function and controls out of a 74-up van or truck. It bolts right to your original mount, but you need to use your original wiper motor arm. Notice what clock position it's in before you take it off the old motor.
Dead nuts bolt in.
However, you do have to cut 1/8" off the switch stem for your original knob to fit.
Somewhere in the hints and tips section it explains the entire process.
Give me a call when you get in the Houston area.
