Wyatt was talking about renting a van and everyone riding out together (no Slicks...wimps). Not sure if that will come to pass or not.
I'm still on the fence. We are talking about maybe taking a long trip, driving the truck on the 2 lanes and doing some sightseeing on the way there and back (wife and I...she suggested it). This depends on me getting some actual work done to the truck before then. And the price of gas. But it's probably 60-70% likely.
I don't know why everyone is so afraid to drive their trucks, just because there is no a/c, or a radio you can actually hear, or wipers that don't hit the bottom molding when used, or hoods so rusty they'll fly open, or....

Dwight, I have to agree with you. I could have flown to SlickStock'06 for $200 less but what fun would that have been? When we took the Harley tour or went to Gettysburg, that made driving the truck all seem worth it.
When plans are made, let me know which routes you guys will be taking. I would love to run with the MAC guys again. Like in the original event, if you would like to come by or stay at the Truck Farm, all are welcome.

Chuck and Chad have bailed. lame.gif
The wife and I will be discussing travel plans for 2008 vacations soon, I hope. I'd really like to have actually done some work on the truck, but that's not looking like it's going to happen.
I haven't heard from anyone else other than WK who is still on the fence. Sinc? Tim? Charlie?
Hello, is this thing on?

I'd like to go. It would be nice to hook up with others going and travel togeather. Not sure how good the truck will look by then but it will be road worthy.

I'm figurin on not making it. College, wedding and life are just a few things getting in the way.
But if I hit the lottery this may change, but since I don't have any tix, I suppose thats out too.

I think I'll be leaving Mon. and making a 2 day trip, I'm prob. going to tow the slick on a friends flatbed, If I had a more modern motor I'd prob. drive it, but when you have to order spark plugs, watch somebody scratch their head when you mention generator and they say that Lowes is down the street. I haven't mapquested it but I think it's about 1400 miles.

Get Wayne to tow it with his '66. He'll probably still get 20 mpg.
