I am not slamming the truck period and I know it has a history, but almost 1 million for a 71 truck? I don't understand stuff like this. Am I crazy or am I the only one that thought what the? when I saw the price. You want to go rare? I got into redoing campers and my first was a Aristocrat. I have one of the last ones made from what I have been able to find out. I have been in contact with a guy who was friends with the guy who started the company. He has asked him questions for me. This Aristocrat may be the only model of its type in existance or ever made. It was a new model and mine may have been the only prototype that was made. So it may be the only one of its model in existance but I know I probably would be lucky to get only 3-5 grand for it. Could this truck really bring that much?

got a few things to comment on.
while the truck may be in excellent condition ,and possibly very few of that particular color/trim package were offered as special editions and maybe its the only one left none of which is guaranreed thats it.
way i see it its a nice 71 f100 with a 302.
$7950, guy got carried away with th 00s

my father used to bring home ford brochures all the time with "special limited version" basically different colors/trim type etc. for different areas. wish i would have kept all that stuff probably would be worth as much as the truck is.

I wanted to see what the easy monthly payments would be with a grand down! I even stretched it for 72 months! I don't know if I could afford the insertion fees on evil bay. It costs a bunch to list a four wheel ATV!

They do this all over the place, special "husker" versions here. Living with these rabid fans will make anyone hate football. If one of these nutballs sells their "special" truck or van they always want 5 times what it's worth too. s_crazy5.gif

that is the stupidest crap of crap anyone could put on ebay. how could a truck possibly be worth that much. carrol shelby's personal tricked truck probably wouldn't be worth that much. this is, if he had one. i would think so, though.

barret jackson is the worst thing to old cars and trucks. it is making the market impossible to build a dream car up. the parts seem to be the easy part now. just trying to get something that will stay together til you get it home and affordable is the hard part.

heck, i have stripped, cleaned, and repainted tilt steering columns for 69 amx's. i decided to get my money back in them so i put my two spares on ebay as i had restored them too. one brought in 430 and the other brought in 800. i can see 400 to 500 for an original ready to go tilt but that 800 was sure nice for my pocket but that poor idiot sure got ripped in my eyes. the tilt was nice for most show cars but the price was insane. this is what they bid on too and not what i set the price at. i felt bad to take his money but i sure got over it quickly when that cashiers check was in my hand. and that guy was building a pro-streeter too, not even an original.

I don't think I've ever heard of such a rare & collectible thing in all my days!

Maybe even more sought after than the Hope Diamond!! :rotflmao:

Let's see if one of P.T. Barnum's "suckers" with more money than brains falls for this. Value of a vehicle like this (like beauty) is in the eye (and wallet) of the beholder.

If the guy will throw in a Back To The Future Toyota 4x4, plus an albino pet rock, I'd give him 500-bucks for it. On the serious side, I bet he could get $2,500 for it at Barrett-Jackson.

i hate to say it, but i'd probably let the xl go for 3 mil or so. whomever buys it for that much is gonna do it right so my concious would be clear, and i could set my family right and have lots of nice toys to boot. i would be very happy with kid's 66 and a slew of other ford trucks through the years.
