Dropped front of my slick

The place to talk Slicks. All we ask is that discussion has something to do with slicks...

There was a thread on this over at F T E (61 to 66 forum) about the axle on top of spring, along with a guy making a bolt on A arm type suspension for twin eyes(67 to 72 forum)...I played with this idea for a bit but could not figgure out how to get it all to work in harmony. I gave up on it as a evil handling bad idea.

Nothing like back yard engineering to scare the living crap outta ya.......

In fact i scare my self......

Alan, that is exactly the height I want on my 66 F100. Yours looks great man. How does it handle and steer? Any problems with doing both the dropped beams AND cutting a coil?

Shawn, I`m surprised how well it handles and rides, Other than parking and tight corners I can`t see why you`d need power steering I`ve got a 14" steering wheel as well. The bump stop rubbers need some trimming to increase axle travel and with disc brakes from a 79 f100 she pulls up straight too, I`ll post some pic`s showing stance and fat owner standing next to it
Installing the dream beams was a piece of cake, good time to replace shocks and other rubbers at that time, a wheel alignment is also needed

Alan,
Honey, If I say I`ll fix something I will, there`s no need to remind me every 6 months!!
