Ignition bezel

Post by f100matt »

Is there a way to remove it without scaring it up and not having to by one of those fancy tools off ebay? :hm:

I grab it in the rear and grab it by the front, push together and twist. It'll pop off. You do have to push in the little lock below with something the size of a jim clip.

You have to insert the key, turn to ACC. Insert a paper clip into the hole in the cylinder and rotate toward the driver door. The cylinder will come out easily.
Now grapand push the rear of the switch under the dash toward the seat and hold the bezel. Rotate the switch about an eighth of a turn and it should pop loose. No tools needed other than the key and a paper clip.

Should be. My 64 had the same key and the replacement I bought from DC also had the same key.
But I could be wrong. Who knows.
