Quick Fuel Filter Question-Manual canister fuel pump

Post by huskilvr »

Hi,

I'm replacing the hang down fuel filter and trying to figure out if gasket hole end of filter should be up and lined up with hose intake to carb, or if the solid end comes up against that intake. I know it's a stupid question but I'm new to this stuff. :)

Any help appreciated.

Thanks!

This style of pump & filter?

The open end of the filter goes up & slips onto a nipple on the bottom of the pump. The solid end of the filter points down, toward the bottom of the canister. The canister screws on & holds the filter against the pump.
