Spring get together

Post by ras4434 »

Unless I win the lottery (guess I should buy a ticket) I probably wont be able to afford the $1500.00 in gas to go to Slickstock. As I was feeling sorry for my self I had a thought. What if all of us on this side of the country got together and took a group picture and had it blown up and sent it to KC for slickstock. Any interest in meeting at the Oregon Coast some weekend in June? Fish and chip and some pictures...........Just a thought.

I'm not sold on the coast, just thought it would be a good setting for a picture for those in KC. If we got some interest we could pick almost anywhere that would work for the majority. Its got to be closer than KC.

I think I could swing something like that. I like fish-n-chips.

Looks like there is at least enough interest so I wont be there alone. I will try to get this going again in March or April and we can set a time and date for June some time. Because of my schedule I typically run about a couple of months out. I will try to post this in the main forum as well. Enjoy the week...............

Sounds like a good idea to me. Nice road trip to check the Slick out for the trip to KC.

Count me in, as long as it's a weekend thing. I think a better idea would be boat race weekend in the tri cities around July time frame.

I think that regardless of what we do it would be best to do it on a weekend. I think a list of options posted and then some sort of poll or vote would bring it all together. Maybe April sometime for the voting and June/July for the event.

Good luck on your meet, We, on the other coast have get togethers fairly frequently and can be a pain to pick a date that works for everyone. Wish I could attend yours, we had a great time when we were there last summer. Ecola State park would make for some good pics.

66fordtrucknut: I guess the solution to not being able to have everyone able to go on a certain date is to have the meet and greets frequently at different dates and places. Glad you had a good time when you were over on this side of the world. I have been over on the east caost once and enjoyed the people. Not sure if it would cost more or less these days to drive or fly from coast to coast but driving would be more fun. I wonder with the MPG is on a jet?
