Aha !. . . . . Lookey here,. . . Deja Vu All over again, again huh?. . . . .
DC & Rick at Carolina Classics are where to get correct, new, replacement stuff. Tom at Flashbacks is THE 1 source
for used. A lot of new folks jump in & get stuck by wannabe merchants with those Glitzy Ads, Fancy Catalogs,
Smooth tele talkers, & Mis-Fitting - short lived inferior products.
Most of the late comers in aftermarket parts business are in it for Money Only. The 3 I mentioned are in it because they
understand what we really are looking for & also to make a living at it by doing it right . . . . . Not only that but they
have been there for years doing it right for us Ford owners.
Hey!
just my take on the deal from my own experiences folks. . .

Just to give you a idea, there is 3 types of cab mounts, The Tawain BLACK JUNK Ones that a lot of vendors sell, then ones made in the USA That are similair but more heavier, and ones that Carpenters and we sell also that are very close to the originals, whats different is that the inspection plate on these are held by 2 screws as where as the original plate is held by 4 screws, Just remember when buying any sheet metal if its BLACK THEN ITS FROM TAWAIN, IF not sure ask the salesperson, and he don't want to say then you can almost say its that Tawain Junk!!!

I am running quite a lot of LMC stuff on my truck. I tend to agree that the quality of SOME items was a little less than I would have wished.Heavyhauler wrote:I need tie rod ends. LMC beats NAPA even with shipping
Bad idea?
Some of the other stuff was excellent.
Depending on your year, trying the chains line O'reily, Autozone, Advance etc., can beat NAPA and LMC both, at least here in KC. I have an O'reilly's down the road -- I usually have found the part number before I arrive and called ahead to order it. Can't beat local, cause if the quality isn't what you like, you just return it or walk away.
I got tie rod ends for my 65 from Autozone I think -- so far so good.....
