Yesterday was a good day!

Post by Slick Fan »

My Daughter works with a local film company. She hired on at a time when they were going through a lean period, but through diligent work, she proved to be an invaluable person for the company & a great help to the boss. He told her that if she could stick it out, when things turned around & were going well, he would give her a raise & buy her a car.
She got a raise a couple weeks ago & started doing some car shopping. Her current vehicle is getting pretty tired & a raise would help get her some new, more dependable wheels. She started looking at some '02 Mustangs that were in her price range & sharing some of her findings with her fellow employees & boss...I don't think the thought crossed her mind that he was really serious about that car thing he said way back when...

...until yesterday, when he asked her to take a detour on the way to work, ending up at a Ford dealership. Waiting at the dealership, with a bunch of balloons tied to it, was this brand NEW '08 Mustang GT!

Here's the '91 4-banger she's driven since High School. (pic from '05 after dropping the tranny for rebuild #2.)

DANG sounds like good people to work for that's great.
It means a lot to work for a company that appreciates and cares for a person like they do.
Glad to here things are going good for her slick fan.

Thanks, you guys. :D I'm definitely proud of her, always have been. She's a great kid.
Yep, from a tough time standpoint, this bit of good news is definitely welcome. As one of my wife's co-workers exclaimed yesterday... "FINALLY, SOME GOOD NEWS!!"

Alan, you're right. I don't think she got her looks from me. :P
