Custom Interior
Custom Interior
I was wondering if you guys can post some pics of some nice custom interior on 66's or any 60's year F100 or some kind of truck. I am trying to get ideas for my truck but not sure. The color of it is a dark metallic forest green with a TINY hint of pearl in it. I am wanting a light tan interior with a mohagany Flaming River steering wheel (going to do the bed floor in wood as well to match the steering wheel. Also going to put in bucket seats that will be light tan. But any pics of what gauges would look good, color of the carpet, center consoles, etc etc would be GREATLY appreciated. I have been looking around to get some idea's. As for gauges I am stuck between black faced, tan or classic inc gauges have some old looking style that have a silver turned look to them. I like old classy style guages, not race kind of digital.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks a lot!
That is a nice interior! The gauges sure aren't your average looking item, either.
I've had this place bookmarked for a couple years now. They've got a nice looking gauge panel too. However, you need the main outer metal panel from a standard cab (round gauge style) for this to mount to.

I don't think the price is unreasonable either.

Here's a few interior pics I've collected, mainly from eBay & not necessarily green.

I like the body colored gauge panel, that's a cool idea.

Thanks a lot for the pics and info guys! Those are some nice looking interiors for sure! It's hard for me to decide because in a way I like the more modern look on some things but then again I dont want to take away from the old classy stock look. I do know what I want to find first though before the door panels and headliner and such and that would be first to get my new bucket seats (which I do know where to get those and what I want, it's just getting the money to get them right now), then I want to get new gauges and guage panel (which I can't decide on Haneline or the JCmicrofinish ones) and then my carpet but I can't decide on the color because I am going with tan everything else but the carpet needs to either be tan or black and I do not know if black would look right with everything else tan. After those would come the steering wheel and knobs on the dash in billet if I can find them and then headliner and door panels but these would be later on down the road. The guages I do need because half of them dont work and look like crap.
I like that orange truck above with the mohagany wheel and tan, that looks very nice IMO.
Keep em comming if you want, I am getting some great ideas here!
Thanks again.

Vinnie here, thanks for the kind words on Stella. I did use the roddoor kick panels. I had to cut out the vent openings. I ended up making a template out of cardboard to get it right. Make the cuts a little larger than you need for the fabric.
If anyone would like more pictures, send me your address and I'll try to dig some up.

If you want to have some door panels like the the orginal plastic panels look at mine. Its in my pictures for willy 3486. I also posted how to make them in the hints and tricks section. I figured out the original design by trialand error from pictures and the original trim. The pattern was easy to make.
