its one of the tougest modifications ive ever done, but it sure is nice. I still need to finish the passenger side power motor the driver side is finished completely. I was waiting to get the switches that go where the original window cranks go, so I put it off but them switches are 100 bucks each so they will have to wait

you would have to find a way to make a bracket to allow the manual window regulator to fit the glass. the window kit does not come with the one piece window kit ( wish classic trucks mag would have mentioned that ) the power window kits bobs f100 offered to sell me was more than the window kit itself so I bought a set locally and saved about 300 bucks  the other problem with using a manual hand crank is the glass has to move up and then foward about 3 inches at the top because of how the door is shaped and the glass fits in where the original vent window was originally. this is the tricky part and it took me alot of adjusting and fittment to make it work in a smooth motion

One piece windows looks good in trucks, BUT In reality hate them, worst mistake taking my vent window out of my 56 with no A/C You will roast, also rains a little no way to keep the fog off the inside unless you run defrosters all the time,, on these new trucks hate them worst no way to take that fog off inside, cracking windows does not do it,, on all newer vehicles your A/C Compressor kicks off and on even running the heater so there goes the fuel mileage so here driving my 07 F-450 rains a liitle and be 70 degrees out and have to run defrosters cause of NO VENT WINDOW or 35 degrees out and the A/C Compressor kicking off and on and whats that doing,,, :?: :?: Guess what killing fuel mileage so thats why during winter time my compressor is unplugged on all of our newer vehicles, Just my opinion looks good one piece but before jumping into think about it alright for once in awile but not everday use, Biggest thing hate about new vehicles is the missing of the vent window :(

Neil66,

I'd like to go to that swap meet in Fort Worth. Any idea where I can find more info as to the timing?

I have been wanting to do the one piece windows as well. I always hated the vent windows on my 64 Merc, so they need to go on the 66.
