being from az and getting alot of tickets before. lol. when you go to court, talk to the courts attorney and ask to reduce the charge to a non moving violation. All they really want is the $. i've done that many time in phx. doesn't go on your record and is ussually cheaper than the original fine. just a suggestion. good luck

Sorry to hear that Doc, Judges seem to hate when anyone questions a cop, best thing could've happened is if he didn't show up, thats what happened to me and they threw it out.

bad judge , take away the gavel.
$167 is an outrageous fine. i could see $50-75 but that is way too much.

See if you can find a local TV, or radio station, paper or similar to tell your story. Here one of our TV stations has "7 Can Help" (guess what channel they are) that specializes in local injustices be it law, housing, buisiness, etc. You might get lucky and find someone with some guts. This would by the way make arses out of them and do it for free.
