This is about 1984, my 66 Merc, 351. I was first bitten by the slickitis in 1980, when I bought my first 64 Custom Cab. And of course there's the two perverbial friends inside flipping me the bird which was oh so funny in 1984. Probably had Duran Duran cranked on the tape deck as well. AH, the good old days...

Yeah, the bird flew a lot for me too, in the 80's. I've even got a pic somewhere of my Wife sitting in my Charger flipping me off, taken in about 1986 or so. :P

Looks like your Merc was wearing at least one F350/4x4 fender, at the time.

Hahah what an awesome photo... loving the paint, the exhaust, the wheels, the cab lights... and even the parking job.

Thanks j-mac. Ya, the parking job was probably due to the earlier visit to the pub. Don't remember being sober very often back then.

The worst part is when the motor finally packed it in, I sold that truck for $100.

Thought process of an 18 year old with $10 in his pocket:
Two wiper blades: $10
One oversized wiper blade: $5
One six pack $5

it all computes perfectly. i have had the linkage bind and only ran one arm and blade. and i have skimped on plenty when i was younger to get some brews or a bag. ah, the good ol' days. lol

Run the flexpipe right into the cab and put me out of my misery more like. Guys with 80's mullets shouldn't be allowed to live.

Here's another pic to make my parents proud. Apparently I'm getting rid of the six pack I bought with the wiper blade $$!

Not trying to steal your thunder here, but I thought this would be a good thread to add this pic. This is me in about 1984, if I recall. Taken the first winter I stopped driving my '66 in the white crap.
I should make a better version of this, now that I have a scanner.

Image

*EDIT* Well, I scanned it...still isn't much better. The pic is pretty grainy in the first place, I had forgotten that. :?

No worries Slick Fan, this seems to be the official 80's hair thread. Nice doo you had goin there yourself...hahahaha. Ya gotta wonder if our trucks were embarassed driving our ugly asses around. Then I wonder why I didn't get laid till I was 30!! I guess the chicks weren't into a cab full of empties and vomit stains on the carpets, not to mention the pinhole burnmarks everywhere. Didn't really mix well with the 17 pine air fresheners I had hangin from every handle in the truck. PARTY ON!!!!!!!
