putting in the power steering

Post by OLYELLER »

I just got started. Do i need to remove the engine to replace the motor mount or just support it to change it out. I installed the PS pump and pulleys just to makes sure it fit up. Perfect, so can i drive it with the pump and belt hooked up without the steering unit in yet? None of the lines are hooked to anything, obviously. I don't want to do more than i have to. I got all the right stuff ,now just need the know how to finish the job.

You should not have to take the engine out to replace a motor mount just support it. I would not hook up the belt to the pump and run it without the lines and PS box installed first. Hope this helps.
