1956 Ford Customline
SO,
I just bought a 1956 Ford 2 door customline for $2,000. I just couldnt pass up the deal. It has a 302 and a 3speed, obviously not original. But the car is complete. And ive seen these cars sell for a good price, plus its my dads dream car. We went half on it. It doesnt run, need a starter and a few things but it'll make a nice car. We're just gonna fix er up here and there. will try to sell it when its done, but were not gonna give it away either... Bought it mostly because it was a good deal, it needs a home, and we like those cars...geesh like we need any more cars though. I have a pic in my album
what me and all my family already has here:
1964 f100
1964 f100
1965 f100
1937 ford pickup
1973 duster
2002 bonneville
1997 cutlass
1997 f150
2002 f150
and now this 1956 ford

yes they do
this car has held up now for 3-4 years as my favourite hot rod of all time.
Maybe because the first car I can remember our family owning was a '56 Meteor (Canadian Ford) with a 312
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

'56 Fords are really good looking cars, especially in Crown Vic. trim.
Congrats on your newest arrival to the fleet! Your yard sounds about as full as mine, I've got 7 in the back yard, 5 in the front yard & 1 in the garage.

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!

not only is that one a Vicky, but a Skyliner too.
Plexiglas roof over the driver..
These make 5/6/7 Chebbys look like they came from the bottom of someone's shoe IMO

Ya know I get into more arguements by saying that, Ford and Chryco had some MUCH more attractive cars than the tri five Chubbies(from a reformed bow tie guy too!)....
He just takes his tractor another round....another round......another round....

56 Ford Customline
I, to like the 55 & 56 fords. I had a 56 crown vic in 57 , I also had 6, 55 crown vic`s , I couldn`t keep them, for some reason, every time I got one looking the way that I liked, Somebody would come up and offer me more then I had in it, and down the road it would go.
I liked the 55 crown vic a little better than the 56, it had a little less chrome and , to me , it was not as "gussied up" as the 56 was.
Bill.

Well put.
I love the 56. I remember a car show in Saskatoon that had three of them lined up together. All three had the same factory yellow/black/white colour scheme. Two hardtops, one convertible. I think one was a Meteor. Gorgeous...
