Right up the road from me if anyone is interested.

Man, would I love to have that! I'd have to stick a longer frame under it though, along with a styleside bed.
I like the door locks in all 4 doors...the horn button on the dash is pretty sweet too.

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!

Aftermarket universal type turn signal switch. Really old school stuff.
I guess something like that truck is where Nissan (& others) got the idea for their current truck-wannabe's, with the ultra short beds.

Tim, you should go see it, if not interested in owning it just to investigate and take pics of the modified areas for those who would be interested like me.
the bed is kind of short but this would be real kewl to drive around next to the new real short crews.

I have a buddy going that way Friday, I may see if he can get some shots of it. He is the one who told me about it. We talked today about what a cool truck it would be if the rear axle were moved back about a foot to 18 inches, then modify the bed wheel openings to match. Kind of looks tail heavy as is, IMO.

Really? My friend bought one of those switches new just a few weeks ago. He was going to lend it to me so I can drive my truck home, as my original switch is missing.
I didn't mean they don't make them anymore, they probably do...but I bet the technology in those hasn't changed since the 50's.

The truck is a crown conversion. The bed is common type of modifications done to keep the stock wheel base intact. If you also look at the rear of the cab roof the crown units had the drip rail accross the back of the cab.
61 to 66 by crown have the exposed hinges and the post as show in the picture.
65 is the first year for the factory crew. clearest way to identify a factory crew is the 1 1/4" space between doors for internal hinges.
All crew cabs used the 61 to 64 type floor stamping. for 65 66 they used the 4x4 F350 and F350 cabs.

If anyone wants me to go peek at this truck, I'm more than willing to give this guy a ring and take a look at it if Big Tim hasn't yet. He couldn't be too far from me. Heh, I might be inclined to get rid of some things around here and pick it up myself. That'd make a nice project truck.
