Post by 66 POJ »

We are rehabing a couple of lift stations(waste water) and the contractor is storing some stuff at a waste water plant so its not stolen at the sites. Today I went to the plant to see about another ongoing job and sited this old gal.
I think its a '63 but you guys can edumacate me.

BA,
What do you mean by '64+' roof?

Too cool of an old worker truck! :D
I hope they find the gas tank fill cap!

Anyone have a guess for the use of the bracket on the drivers side cowl?

I like the "extendo-mirrors".....

Interesting that it seems to have been OEM with the custom cab package (body side molding trim) and also the chrome 'custom cab' outside door handle escutcheons and has the 'correct' chrome bumer too - however it didn't get the chrome grill... ?

I would have also expected it to have split rim wheels too... I'm thinking they likely were replaced/updated sometime since '64.....

Nice find! Looks like he may have moved it just in time, or the jerks that ruined the windshield may have come back to finish it off. :x

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!

Does anybody have pics of the difference in the roofs? My 63 has the indent in the center of the roof and it started life as a 63 wrong bed. My cab is still at the painters so I can't get a picture to post and none of my pics show the roof well enough.
Let me know please.
