Post by 66fordtrucknut »

Have you seen the uni in the new Custom Classic Trucks mag.? Sweet truck, they're calling it a 63 but it has a 62 grille, The owner is a chevy guy but fell in love with it when he seen it and kept it FORD (except for the S-10 seat) Anyhow nice truck!

later in the book, they have a caption on a small pic describing a "slick" '65. It seems we are becoming a mainstream term.

Charlie is that one of those mags that comes in a Plastic Bag so you can't see the #%^&*( Chebby Calendar that is in there?
Fool me once shame on you.. fool me twice shame on me.

If not I will get down to the bookstore and check it out.

Matt, perhaps we should be charging royalty rights on the name, as it is now a category at FTE as well. The next Slickstock, we could have it in Vegas and hire the Rolling Stones to play. Think about it. LOL :D

Also a very nice article about the '57-'60 Pre-slicks in the February '07 issue of Collectible Automobile. To my knowledge, they haven't done a feature yet to cover the Slick years, but I am also too cheap to fork over the $7.95 each issue to keep up with the publication.

JC, my wife picked it up for me, don't think it was in a plastic bag, does have a chevy truck on the cover though. Don't know if I'd subscribe to it, worth the price for this one issue. My wife also got me for Christmas and is worth every penny is the Ford Truck chronicle, covers every year and is a great book.
