I like the looks of the reverse scoop. Have you thought about using steel brake line for some curvature around the edges somehow. Im not sure how you would do it or even it you can. Just a thought.

I was thinking about doing something like that but just reversing the 2 "dips" and only bringing them up about 1"
Looks Good. I would add a radius to the top edges.

Absolutely LOVE that that fitment, not my color at all but I really respect the work that went into making a 3 stage paintjob look that straight on a 50 year old truck!

hahahah
It sure looks different all clean and smooth , and no looms and doodads.

The truck saw the light of day under its own power today. I'll let the video speak for it's self.

Here we go the long awaited "one piece door glass install"
We hauled out the KIT and read through the instructions for the ???? who knows how many times. Looked at the crappy black and white pictures on plain paper with felt pen notes and arrows. Got out some measurement tools the soap stone marker, made some cut lines to follow and fired up the torch and started cutting.

Well after much cutting, trimming, cussing, head scratching and all the things that go along with "custom installs" we got the window in and it goes up and down. AMAZING. I am taking notes and lots of pictures and when I get it all organized I will post a seperate how too article on how we did it. This is a major project and not, by any means, a quick week end project. I know it looks pretty awful right now but it will get all cleaned up and will look as nice as it can when finished.
I am here to say that a one piece window glass can be done and it will look very good on a custom truck. I wouldn't recommend it for a stock truck because of the heavy modifications that are required to make it work.

Mike. I agree about the one piece window on a stock truck thing, but I was wondering.....
Would it have been any help to "judiciously" take some of the door skin off the outside when you did the cutting and fitting?
And how did you finally deal with the upper hinge box? Ain't a lot of room to work in there and I'd be concerned about rubbing the glass on an exposed metal surface.
Anyway, that is a very nice piece of craftsmanship my friend.

Very good job on the glass install. It took me 15 hours on the mod. It truly is a PITA but worth it. I was not very pleased with the quality of the window fuzzies in the kit and was planning to call Carpenter and see if I could get some custom ones from them. Great progress on the truck.
