Kevin I would pattent the desighn itself and then approach some of the major suppliers , Denis Carpenter , LMC, Macs etc. I would bet theres alot of slick owners out there that dont know about us . I know I have met quite a few just here in Louisville that didnt know about us .

Tools needed will be: 1/4" drill bit, 3/8" drill bit and a 3/4" hole saw, drill and wrenches.

Kevin: Now that I know what my tax refund situation is for this year, I would like one of the hood kits as well.
I am in Tucson and would like to come up to see your truck, talk slicks, and pick up the parts if that is possible?
I am not in a particular hurry, so if the first ten are already spoken for, put me in for the next batch.
PM me for your street address for when you want me to mail you a check.

Allen is right. It isn't that hard to do. The biggest problem is the time involved in doing this. If you have the time and the tools to do this you can do it. I spent about 100 hours designing and building mine. It all depends on what is more important, saving the money or being able to say that you did it yourself. Allen's plans are great and very detailed. I just decided to do mine a little bit different. Not to say that mine is better, just a different style. They both do the same thing and work well.
Allen, Are you bringing your truck to SlickStock 2012????????

What are you doing on the 12th of march? Kevin will have his truck at the GoodGuys show and there should be a group of us there helping him drink his beer!

Bill: Kevin and I have already talked about when he would be ready with the remainder of the first ten kits, and that wouldn't be happening until after GoodGuys.
Besides, I have plans for all of that day already made.
Too bad, I have never been to GoodGuys and would like to go sometime.

No such thing as a dumb question. I can close my hood with one hand and I am not a big guy.
My truck won Ford truck pick, out of about 2000 vehicles, at the GoodGuys Spring Nationals this weekend in Scottsdale. I believe that it was mostly because of this hood kit. With the hood open it draws a lot of people to it that might normally walk on by. I had people all weekend asking about it and taking pics of it wanting to adapt it over to some other vehicle. I had nothing but great response about the hood.
Again I think it makes people stop and look and then they notice everything else about the truck.
The water jet cutter didn't get done on Thursday like he hoped but has told me to check back on Monday. I hope he gets done early this week.

I already lost my multimillion dollar idea. I had this idea to put LED lights with fiberoptic strands going to the bubbles in a level. I had this idea about 6 years ago but couldn't find any company to make the small light. I finally found a company at the SEMA show that would make the lights for me and I was talking to them about manufacturing them. I figured that I had better check to make sure that somebody else hadn't done this yet and I found that Stanley had just come out with that about 3 months before I found someone to make the lights for me.
OH WELL, life is such.

Congrat's on the win Kevin, your truck does look great. When the kits are finished I'll take mine plain, I'm dead set on having it cromed. I finally got started on filling holes in my cab this last week end, so I hope to be ready for paint by the fall.

Got my kit on the front porch when I got home today. Popped it open and looked at a few pieces. Looks good and I can't wait to get started this summer. Thanks for taking the time and effort to put the kit together.

Ben,
If you have any questions when you go to install this, let me know. It should be very straight forward. I talked to one guy that installed it and was very happy with the way it worked and installed. He said that it took him about 4 hours to install it and get it adjusted. He thinks that if he does another, that he could get it done in about 2 hours now that he has installed one.
I thought that your parts looked great being powdercoated gloss black.

I finally got mine installed and Im very happy with the kit and adjustability. I polished the aluminium and it looks like chrome. I welded the hood pieces to the hood instead of bolting them. This is a very nice kit that was well engineered. I left my camera somewhere and have not been able to find it but Ill get some pics posted.

I'm glad that it did work out well. I was a little concerned with closing all the gaps up so close between the hood and the fender. I had thought that you might have to weld the brackets to the hood since there wouldn't be room for the bolts to clear the fenders. I had been trying to think about other ways to mount them.
