yup keep an eye on CL for this area. Alot of nice slicks dents and other Ford trucks and cars on there from this area. Never been up to the Edmonton area before one day the wife and I will have to do a road trip up that way.

I don't have any digital pics of either of my old dentsides, or my Mustang, but here are a few of my 1950 Thames 1/4T delivery, and thanks to canadianrodder.com members deucemerchant & fordfellow for hosting the pics!!

You hear about barn finds all the time.....well, this would be a BARNYARD find.....we picked it up out south of Prince George, BC, and this Farm/Ranch was right along the Fraser River. The rasberry cane was taller than the Thames was....likely from all the bears shittin after a good feed of wild rasberries......

First three are the only pics I had seen prior to driving 11 hours to go look....

The rest were taken when we were loading it up. Some dummies had previously separated the body from chassis, making for an automotive equivalent of GUMBY

No doubt I'll be out at the PetroCan come summer with the 66, or the 60 Fridge. We also did the Casino out in St. Albert a few times last year. The St. Albert cruise was awsome last year. Highest attendance ever.

Alan: That one is really nice, is that John Willards? (if not, very similar)
Is it actually f/s?

Greg: I like gassers, but I think it's being over done. There are probably more gassers now than there were back during "The Gasser Wars"

Mine will be built light, low, with a very low key, kind of traditional vibe....which is kind of funny, because they were not being built in that time period:) Anyways, I'm going to shoot for a max weight of 1800lbs, so it won't take a huge amount of HP to be quick at that weight.
Still up in the air what the powerplant will be.......but I have some kinky ideas:):)

Gassers have become pretty popular - like you said maybe too much.
Yours would still be different right out of the gate because of what it is.
I'd be all over building a Gasser myself - as soon as I find something period correct ( so pre 68' ) that hasn't been done before.
I KNEW I should've bought that 62 Fairlane!

Greg: 60-63 Falcon Ranchero would be a cool gasser.....but I'm kinky enough that I would probably pick someting of the 65-66 vitage and an altered wheelbase car....they were cool!! One step away from a funny car!!
I remember an article in Super Stock & Drag illustrated from the early eighties, a fellow went & found Chrisman's Comet & restored it. Where did he find it you ask?? It was in Stettler, Alberta!!

LM14: If I had a buck for every Fridge within 60 miles of me, I could eat at a fine restaurant.......if I had a buck for every Thames, I MIGHT be able to buy a coffee at Starbucks:):)
So, to translate, that would be a NO:)
However, I may know of one....but it's probably as rough or rougher than mine, and has no front sheetmetal.....last I asked (2009??) he wanted 1K for it......

Find me a solid running, driving Crew, and we'll talk!! lol

Not offering the fridge, way too much time and money in it so far. I also have a '61 short bed unibody, that's the one I'm talking about.

Let me know of any other Anglias or Thames that may be available.

Thanks,

Spark: PM me an email address I will send you the scoop on the one about an hour west of here, as mentioned in previous post. (incl. pic)
Anglias selves are not that hard to come by, but inexpensive ones are:)
As far as the uni goes, sorry, I'm holding out for a Crew:)
