alan, it seems to have some power, but i were to spend the retail dollars that the carb, intake and headers cost, i think i would just put a 75 shot on it and see how long it would last. lol

ahh, now i got ya. at least he didn't break them off. i got a real nice bezel, now i just have to find that old philco i have laying around.

My very 1st Ford truck was a 70' that was my Dad's, and the only new vehicle he ever bought new, paid cash for it, I think it was like 2,000 dollars, I was 8. I was gonna say I have a bezel if you wanted it, but it sounds like you have one.

I dont get it...I just park them around the corner or down the street. I get home a couple hours earlier that the wife. Gives me time to play then move them around. That way there only one or two that dont run on the property. The other day she came home and told me about a truck just like mine down the street Told her I should go down and look at it. I had owned it for about a month. She finally caught on but as long as there are no tickets or the neighbors are not threatening all is right with the world. I wonder if there is a neighborhood limit?????

Wouldn't work in my neighborhood! The neighbors would be at the door, "hey, Connie, we found one of Paul's stray trucks down the street!"

got the clifford on and ditched the offy. runs better, but still have some problems. it is at the bottom of the idle adjustment screw and is idling at 1k. seems like it pulls vacuum to the advance all the time. even at idle. it is timed off the charts according to the marks. when i try to back it down to 14btdc and up the idle i get a random popping thru the exhaust. i dunno. i am gonna drop it and sell it.

You could always slip an M5OD in the Bump and ditch the Ranger...........

thought about that, but it's so hard to get rid of something that gets 27mpg and just starts and runs perfect when you want it to.

With the 240 and an OD tranny the Bump would be around 23 - 25 I'd think.
The 92 I had could get around that - 55 MPH and no headwind but still - that bump weighs less than the 92.
If I didn't do and 80 mile round trip to work - I'd ditch my Ranger for another old truck for a driver so fast it wouldn't be funny.
And I Like my Ranger........
Now,
I know where I could probably get a Model A pickup, swap the body onto the Ranger chassis.
