Get I- beams from a 70s mod and swap for front disc brakes with booster and all. new shocks and sway bars to improve the ride a little. maybe get my body man (buddy) off his can and do the paint job i have already paid him for. (of corse with the paint job will come lots of extras, too many to mention)carpet, headliner, etc. but first of all got to get some super 40 series flowmasters to go on my 2 1/4 galvaloom pipes that i already have installed from lmc. yes i posted this christmas day i got my priorities straight! actually me and my boys just finishes steel woolin my chrome rims on my 65..........LOL it was their idea, their priorities are straight too....lol

new year resolutions huh?......let's see, first, get transmission back in '84 j-10 so I can second, get out of the '74 maverick,( I hate driving cars) so I can third, get back to the most important task of finishing up the '66 f-250 4x4, so I can fourth, at least get it to a couple cruise-ins this year. there, I think that is a full plate. Hope everyone is having a happy Hollidays and Santa brought you everything you needed for your slick projects...Anthony
I graduated from college a little while ago and am currently looking for a steady job so I need something reliable to drive. I was thinking about buying a newer truck after I had the hood fly open on me and melted a piston, both in the same week. Since I can't afford a new truck, I've decided to rebuild my slick and continue using it as my daily driver.
I have gotten the hood to latch again and replaced the melted piston, but have not fired the engine yet. I recently installed a mechanical brake light switch and head light relays. (with help from this site, THANKS!) I have a wiring harness from painless that I have not installed yet. My truck will be getting disc brakes for the spring, along with a new interrior.
Depending how this motor runs, I am thinking about repowering it with a fuel injected 6, or maybe a 351.
When the mechanical stuff is all done, it will finally be painted. I am leaning towards maroon and white.

Here are the pix I said I would post earlier.

1) Get it in a state of tune (timing, carb) where it runs right and doesn't ping
2) Fix the roof rot and remove the dents
3) Replace window seals (hinges on #2 getting done first)
4) Buy and install anti-rattle kits for doors
5) Have seat reupholstered
6) Dynamat and carpet
7) New dual exhaust system that doesn't leak and that actually makes some noise
Since this list looks pretty identical to the 2008 one, I don't expect getting past #1.

top slick job is installing a 300 6 into my 66 f250 4x4.
i miss driving it.
hunting up the parts over the winter so everything is there when the snow is gone.
65 towtruck needs a clutch, been milking that for quite a while.
bought that uni in the fall, it runs but needs some work.
still have the 61 f500 4x4 in the barn, really would like to at least get it back together.

I have a looooong list, but my main plan for my truck is to redo the front suspension. I am thinking about doing a complete suspension swop with Jaguar suspension. Will be cheaper for me to do than rebuild my standard suspension.
Here is a pic of one that has apparently been done with Jag suspension...

i think i will look at mine at least twice a week as a resolution. too cold, wet, muddy, frozen to really do anything to it until summer, when it will be too hot, dry, or uncomfortable to work on it.
always

I do not know the owner, but I am sure it has been imported from USA. All our vehicles are right hand drive and that is a left hand drive.Greg D wrote:That 63 is one sharp looking truck, I like the colors too.
