Short Uni on Crown Vic: Let's see some pics!
Thanks for posting those, bit. Looks great! Now, the questions:
Did you use the Crown Vic master cylinder and booster? What about the pedals?
What modifications are required to use the Crown Vic steering column?Does the angle or length of it need to change? It looks like foodstick maintained the stock angle and cut a new hole in the firewall.
What motors are you guys running? Anyone using fuel injected 5.0's?
How about the throttle cable and tranny kickdown? Could one just fab some new brackets and use the stock cables?
Finally, how much fender/tire clearance do you end up with in the front? Is it possible to go lower without scrubbing the tires on the inner fenders? I'm thinking in the context of lowering springs or cutting the originals to get a little more of a performance feel. Or if I were to install a slightly heavier engine (i.e. 351) while using the stock springs.
Feel free to point out any other major issues that need consideration.

I'm using the FI 5.0, throttle cable will be the CV one, just need to get the fuel pedal located.

Well cutting springs is the absolute wrong way to go as it would kill the ride, besides these trucks handle very well. I am running the 302 AOD in the uni ( all factory no modifications ), I used the crown vic throttle cable and pedal in it. As far as brakes go I used the factory crown vic master cylinder however I installed a 65 T. Bird slide away column and brake booster and used the brke pedal assembly out of the Bird as well.
I do not recommend that set up unless you are willing to put a lot of effort into it.
On the 2 piece truck I am using a 73 to 77 Ford Truck column and mustang brake booster with the crown vic master cylinder.
Currently it has the 302 with aod but I think I may switch to the 351 with a C 6 .

I think I am running 255 50's on the front and I will tell you you have to be a little careful when turning in some places as it is perty tight.
We are running carbs on ours also.
Foodstick would have to tell you the mods he made on the his column.
