A new pair of shoes for my lady (1963 Fairlane)

Post by in2hotrods »

I decided to give my fairlane a little cleanup and thought I'd share some pics.

When I first got her she was running chrome american rims with baby moons.

The tires were looking pretty unsafe so I took them off for now.

These are of the original 13" rims  but atleast the tires are safe!

Before:

Original wheels with good tires, paint is old and rusty...this is the good one!

After:

I cleaned up the chrome lug nuts and sprayed a rust converter (black) on the hubs front and rear.

I just ordered a set of stainless trim rings for it today.

What ya think?

Look Good! My taste have changed since I was a young shaver now I'm a real sucker for stock steel wheels with some detail work, just can't beat a nice set of steelies.

Going right now to get a new set of shoes for my 68 'lane.

Looks cleaned up. I'm a sucker for white steelies though. I'd like a set on my slick

Man I really Like the ( Fairlane ) looks like a COOL Ride !

I Like the stock steel wheels a whole lot !

I Like the Stock look so Much that I had a set of stock ford truck wheels (Banded..14inch)

They are back spaced about ( 11 1/2 in ) for some FAT Wide Rears !

Update: I got some trim rings! I like it much better now that the blue isn't the major focus on the wheels. Shiny parts are good! 8)
