I'm with you Charlie- I'm sticking with the 223 six-banger in my 61...pretty darn easy to work on, even for me

Another vote for the mighty FE. :hello: I really like those engines, even if they are a dinosoaur. :D

I also like the idea of a 351W with fuel injection & a 5-speed. I believe I'll have to give this combo a try really soon.
I've never really been one for a 6 cylinder & have only owned one, a 1980 F150 4x4. It was ok, but didn't tickle my twinkie.

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!

I don't like blue engines, I hate orange engines, and those green engines just really piss me off. Thanks, Lyman. ( My engine is currently blue with blue overspray all over the firewall.)

Lyman you must like '65s then
they are the ones with the Black engine blocks (on the 352's) :D

Speaking of red engines, this was on eGouge a couple years ago, on a bumpside.
Advertised as a 427 TP engine...simply mouthwatering!

ROFL Knew I would get a rise out of someone with that.

Actually I like all makes of vehicles and no I don't believe in mix matching.

But if I were to chose my favorite Ford engine for a project it would have to be 427 SOHC or Boss 429.

And real world budget, nothing like a nice good old reliable 289

BOSS 429 or a 428 Cobra Jet for a hotrod

a 6.0 power stroke with the torqueshift automatic trans for towing

351 Cleveland like I currently have in my '65 F-250 for driving around

(i'd like to try a 5.0 stroker crank in an '03 Cobra DOHC 4.6 block and eaton supercharger with a richmond 6 speed trans)

It's not a slick, it's a bump...but it's still way cool. :D

I don't remember why I didn't save any interior shots...maybe because the rest of the truck more than made up for whatever the interior may have lacked.
