515 Holmes wrecker

Post by Ford4jack »

Picked up this wrecker about a month ago figure on pulling the winchs/booms off and parting out the rest.
Should be able to get my money back and have the makings of a handy boom trailer.
These winches and booms have a hand crank feature on them or I could set up the winches with a small engine.
With nothing in the way the booms should swing around 180 degrees or so.

Yeah, looks like you will need a couple of 50 gallon drums of rust encapsulator :-)

not much difference between that and my holmes 460. your winch drums are a bit bigger, other than that its the same.

except of course mine is on a slick ss_pokes2.gif

Awww it will buff out with some 36 grit
This was someones baby at one time but it sure is rotten now.

But it has a couple of good points parts wise big block, wheel lift attachment, decent wheels and tires etc.
Like I say try to get my cost back and make a boom trailer for my profit.

It has a nice 60s style push bumper on the front and a old siren
that will be kept as well.
