Construction

I am an old contractor and like these kind of pictures, thought that some body would like it.

Its got every thing you needed at the time, a cat dozer, a watch fob and an attitude. lol

That would have been me 50 years ago.

Only now I do it this way.

Bus

Post by bluebolt »

I have never drove any large construction equipment, just some small and lmedium size farm tractors and a 45 pax military bus in Las Vegas traffic between the hotel and Nellis AFB when we were TDY there a few years ago. Sometimes lane changing in that bus was looking as best as you could and saying a prayer because that bus could only go 55 and the traffic was going 65. Just remembered on as we were leaving back to Barksdale AFB the overloaded stakebed truck had several pieces of luggage blow out the back on the freeway and I was sitting there picking up socks and underwear off of the freeway. Some unhappy peple that day! None of my luggage thankfully.

Great picture from the days of iron and steel.

Spent many years wrenching on equipment and allways enjoyed watching a skilled operator work.

Nice dozer, Tom.

Ford4Jack, Without a good mechanic we would never have made it.

One more pic, one of my Dads truck that I drove as a kid. I was 13. 190 International.

Reminds me of my favorite book as a kid. I read this thing every single day until it just fell apart.

Yessir, you are correct! She dug herself a hole she couldn't get out of and became the furnace for the town hall.

These were scrapped about 3 years ago :(

They were parked in east Toledo for years. I took the pics cause they are cool machines. Thanks for the thread: been wondering if I'd ever have a reason to post em

Thanks for the pictures Phil. I would park that shovel in my front yard if I had it.

If you have a better picture of the shovel bucket please post it.
