My dist. is stuck on my 78', 351M Any ideas? Bad enough I had to fabricate a wrench to get to the stupid thing. After loosening the bolt the dist. won't budge. I've been bathing it with pb blaster. maybe it will loosen up on it's own. At least I finally got her running again, after sitting for so long and have a thorough understanding of how 2150 carb. works and all choke linkage operates. Please don't ask me how. Anyways I've won a few battles, need to fight a few more. Any guidance would be apprec.

It just keeps getting better, every time that truck leaves it gets towed back. I'm really flunking mechanics 101 here. Rebuilt the carb so everthing works the way it's supposed to. It runs fine at home, take it out on the road and a miles or so down the road it dies, no fuel in the filter, ok new fuel pump, just did it again. I had the tank down a while back, it wasn't real bad, flushed it, new filler hoses, new rubber lines blew out the steel lines. This shouldn't be rocket science but it sure is turning into it. I'm gonna hook up a old electric fuel pump and see what happens. Sorry had to vent.

These new fangled trucks with 2 barrel carbs with automatic choke crap. sure do like the simplicity of Eunice. Dropped the tank again, sure seems like the pick up tube should be longer, it has a filter on the end that was off, I wonder if that would be the difference and it running out of gas when it's moving down the road.
