The biggest swap meet in central America takes place in Fort Worth in late April at Texas International Raceway and its called Pate. Those of you who have already been there know what I'm talking about.
The dates for Pate are Thursday April 26 thru Sunday the 29th.
The motel we we are planning to stay at starts at $49.00. Its cheap, sleazy, but clean.
Super 8
620 South I-35 East at Teasley Lane
Denton, Texas.
Rooms start at $49.00.
1-800-434-6835 for reservations.I'm planning to go up Friday the 27th and come home Saturday evening.
Yes Virginia, I'm going to try to drive Nadine up. Anybody else confident (brave, stupid, fill in your verb) enough to join me on the trip?
Let me know who and how many so i can call and tell them to start setting rooms aside so we can all try to be together.
You can all call and make your own reservations.
Start planning now and we'll see you at the end of April. You won't regret this trip.
I'll keep you posted on updates, but set your calendars NOW.

Hey I met that girl,uh no she was nasty. Thats why I stayed away from her. Oh my mistake your talking about the hotel.
I used to go to that meet when it was held at the Pate museum. Used to be a real good layed back meet. Bought my 75 Olds convertable at one of those meets. Missed out on a lot of other good stuff there, just didn't have enough money to buy it all.

Oh yea I will be there...
For anyone needing more info on pate here's there site. http://www.pateswapmeet.com
I actually got 4 vender spot this year vs the 2 I had last year.
Block 64 (Zone 2a) 11th & 12th street spaces 736-739 (think this is correct paper is at home)....
I missed the folks that were out there last year that took a look at my pickup. I came back and my buddies told me that some of you folks stopped by and also told me where to find everyone here. I think every time I went passed that Red/white f250 and the other slick I think they were gone also. Hey drop by I don't know if I will really have anything to sell but it sure is nice having the spot to relax at. And it looks like I got some very good spots this year. I will know for sure when I get the tags. The good thing is I am only a stones throw away from TMS it's about 8 miles from my house.
I look foward to meeting some of yall this year. I should be there evey day of the meet I took 5 days off of work for this event...
