Slick 60's Newbie

Post by onemisledyuth »

Title is not entirely true....my old man has had a '62 Uni for a few years, my older brother has had two '65s in the course of the last 9yrs....I just happened to buy one off him that's been sitting for a while.

Quick Facts;
1965 LWB Camper special
-May have had a 352 stock...now has a rebuild and bored 390 Galaxy Engine!
-Shifter converted to Floor mount

Plenty of plans for the future, including lowered suspension, Disc Brakes up front, REPAINT, A/C (I run Arizona Auto & Air in Tempe, if anyone needs aftermarket installed air, or servicing for newer vehicles. Smile ).

Welcome to the site.

Nice whitewalls. j/k I rattled canned my rims black, to cover up the rust and mismatched color, and it helped the looks of my soon to be replaced tires.

Onemisledyuth,
Good looking Slick there! :thumright:

Say - does your tool box have any labels/stickers that might indicate who made it or when it was made?

Do you plan to use that tool box?

Reason I ask is because I have a tool box like yours but it needs one of the torsion spring rods that holds open the side lid.
If you were going to junk the tool box, I'd be interested in buying one of the side lid torsion spring rods from ya....

Thanks in advance for any & all help!

I've got one of those boxes sitting in the yard, looks very close to the one in the pics, and as I remember, it came from Checker Auto.
