Wiston cup 4 speed on Ebay?

Post by 64 f100 »

Impressive looking tranny, forget what it's called exactly. Sidloader with fancy cases, supposedly 8 thousand new. Doesn't say what it will bolt up to. Sure sound impreessive though. Bid is at 815 at the moment. Anyone know about what these transmissions are?

More information. MidValley racing transmission, item 220071151637. They e-mailed me saying it replaces a super T10, GM?

The NASCAR transmissions bolt up behind Ford,GM Mopar,Etc.Don't remember what is used for a bell housing. You can switch engines in those cars and not change anything but the engine. Frames, rear ends, trans all same stuff other than gear ratios. I know this is not much help but from my own racing experience, I wouldn't use one of these in a street car. Too noisy for one thing with straight cut gears.

Thanks Jim, went to high for a street vehicle anyway. Sure looked like a preccision built unit though.

I have built a couple of the toploaders & the syncro's were left out sometimes or the brass we could trim down & the small teeth would grind off so did not have to use the clutch when shifting,, Then a company came out with the gears made like that, like Jim says not pratical in a street machine but good for some high performance racing that you need to speed shift without using the clutch since that will slow you down
