Just found you guys, pick up a 61 long bed from Pomona, CA, made it road worthy and drove it back to Birmingham. One of those "bucket list" things. Drive a hot rod (almost) cross contry on as much of Rt.66 as possible, visit as many natural wonders as possible on said trip and survive the whole thing.

Have not decided what I'm going to do with the truck. Have it on ebay right now. Might keep it and do it up right. Still have a couple of projects to finish, two 57 Fords (Ranchero and Retractable), 65 T-Bird, 68 Mercury Montego Convertible and a 63 Stdebaker Wagonaire along with a 36 Chevy street rod (351C/FMX) that has 135K and needs a rebuild......will I live long enouph to finish them?

Love what I have seen so far, very good information, very nice trucks! Been a hot rodder for a long time so I hope to be able to contribute from time to time. Cya, Bill
Many great Fords,
Bill

Welcome from Louisiana. Hang around here a bit and you almost sure to catch "Slickitus". Causes you to acquire more 60's era trucks than you really need or have a place to park :-)
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

I believe this to be your truck. Nice truck. I was looking at it & wondering about it seeing as you would be coming close to me on you 2 trip you have planed. Bad part of that is having the money for it.

Where are you in B-Ham? I am in the Clay/Chalkville area just off Mary Vann Ln. My back yard is the Centerpoint City limits.

If you are asking me, I am near Hoover, but I am familiar with the area you live. I make it up to Trussville every now and then. If you are like me and want to check out other people's old rides, send me a private message and I will give you my contact info.
