Got stitches

Post by BigTim »

No not on me, I usually just use superglue when I cut myself. Just had a bit of work done on my 65.

More in my gallery

Tim, those look real good.

i generally use duct tape or electrical tape on minor cuts, never thought about superglue.knowing my luck it would not be dry yet and i would need to get rid of liquids in me........

Special Forces & Navy Seals carry superglue on missions for wounds. Also heard it fixes blisters too.

Nice upholstery work! I just had my seat & visors done. You could say it's the first bit of color on my truck, but have got a loooooong way to go.

Thanks everyone. Found a place over in tha hood that does nice work. Headliner and door panels sure made a difference in the road noise.

Looks really decent.

I am collecting some parts for my interior build out. I just got my new (old) seats yesterday and over the weekend, fabricated one of the two kick panels. I will post pictures and progres over the next few weeks.

I am doing the same basic thing but with a 60's Kustom flair.

Nice work!

Thanks, I am thinking the old bench seat should be mounted rear facing in the bed for Drive in Movie night.

Thanks, and can't wait to see it.

I still have more I want to do, but I don't want to lose the basic feel of a 65 year model.

I remember some movie I watched, (course this is hollywoodland, so i doubt its truthfulness) that said superglue was originally invented for vietnam or Korean or some such war as a quick fix for wounds.

Dunno how truthful that is though, and i'm too lazy to actually google its origins.

So, that being said, I hereby state that Superglue WAS originally invented in the vietnam war as a quick fix for wounds. Any googling by anyone else shall from now on turn up this post :D

---- Edit ----

Oh yeah and Tim, the truck looks darn purty ;) gotta admire black :D

Superglue does burn a bit, so if anyone tries you have been warned.

Thanks Rip

well when they HAD drive-ins (haven't seen one in a dozen or so years) about 1/2 the time when you went to one it would rain..

better fasten a 'brolly in there too

I do it all the time, everyone got a laugh out of it til they tried it.

its great for stuff like small annoying cuts and blisters because it puts a hard surface on it and its sealed in a few minutes. also a ripped fingernail(or toenail) likes it too.

Looks nice.

Couple of questions. Are the buckets out of an Escort? How did you mount them up? I got a set of buckets, but need to do some fab work to get brackets to work, unless I break down and buy those $150 repros.

We still have one drive-in around here, but I prefer sleeping bags & pillows, with the tailgate down. :D

Nice looking interior, BT. :thumright:

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.

I made a template for the bracket then had a sheetmetal shop break it out of sheetmetal. No slides but it has a good fit for me at 6'3" and my wife at 5'5"

I still have the templates, I will try to take a pic and put some measurements with them.
